PYSA Summer Soccer Camp

PYSA SUMMER CAMP WITH ROB ALLISON

We are hosting our annual summer camp June 19-22, 2023 at
Click Road Soccer Complex, 2325 Click Rd. Petoskey, MI 49770.

The camp will be held daily Monday-Thursday

2017-2013 birth years 9 -11am

2013-2009 birth years 12:30 - 2:30 pm

The PYSA summer skills camp will train players with birth years 2017-2009 on individual skills and soccer knowledge in a fun environment with daily challenges that test the player's skills and give them solid foundations to build upon. Older players can choose to attend extra goalkeeping or striker camp sessions if interested in the evening. Players will receive a T-Shirt and a camp ball at end of the week.

Please check in at pavilion at your first session.

Make sure you:

Wear cleats, shinguards, and dress appropriately for weather.
Bring your own water, water bottle filling station available.

You do not need to be a PYSA member to attend camp. It is open to all players.

COACHES

Coach Rob Allison, TKO Academy - Red Arrow Branch Program Director Grand Rapids/Holland area, and former Hope College Men's Soccer player is taking the lead coach position for camp this year. Rob has been a long time assistant coach of PYSA summer camps.
Some of our Lakers and Breakers players will also be assisting throughout the week.

Striker and Goalkeeper Camp

Striker and Goalkeeper Camp with Coach Ashley and Coach Grant

June 26-28, 2023, 5:30-7p

The PYSA striker and keeper camp, run by Coach Ashley and Coach Grant, will train players with birth years 2013-2009, *2014 by approval . The camp will be held at Click Road Soccer Complex at 2325 Click Rd. Petoskey, MI 49770.

Goalkeepers

Goalkeepers will be led through functional training designed to improve their handling, footwork, and shot-stopping skills, positioning, and tactical decision-making. Simulated game scenarios will be created to give goalkeepers not only repetition in skill development but also building confidence.

Strikers

This portion of the camp is designed to develop and train any attacking player in various finishing techniques and decision-making in the final third. Players will receive instruction on proper technique as well as learn how to shoot for accuracy and power from different angles in front of the goal. Simulated game scenarios will be created to give players repetition in skill development and enhance on-field decision-making and pace of play.

ODP 101 is open to birth years: 2011 - 2015
Goalkeeper Academy is open to birth years: 2006 - 2012

Session 1: June 13-15
Session 2: August 8-10

ODP 101 & Goalkeeper Academy is designed to provide additional training opportunities for players. Training will be focused on developing the players technical, tactical, physical and psycho-social ability.
