PYSA Alumni Play Key Role in NCAA Tournament Action

Jason Muller - Junior Forward/Midfielder Hope College
Muller led Hope College in scoring this past season with 7 goals and 8 assists for 22 total points and was a second-team All-MIAA selection. The Flying Dutchmen earned an automatic bid to the NCAA DIII tournament by winning the MIAA tournament championship. Hope advanced to the Elite 8 before falling 2-1 to Ohio Wesleyan. To read more about Hope's long tournament run click here. Muller became a Youtube sensation by scoring the dramatic game-winning goal below with under 10 seconds remaining in the game to send Hope to the Sweet 16. Jason is a self-made player who you can still find training by himself in the summer with a bag of balls at Click Road. His high-level of technical ability is on display in the video clip. Jason trains PYSA players throughout the spring and summer.

Grant Reed - Junior Goalkeeper Colgate University

Colgate University's Grant Reed led his team to the NCAA DI tournament after earning an automatic berth by winning the Patriot League tournament championship. Reed, a junior, started every game in goal for the Raiders and was a second-team All-Patriot League selection. Grant graduated from Petoskey High School in 2009 and trains PYSA keepers during the summer. To read more about Colgate's outstanding season and and Grant's contributions in goal click here.
