CONCEPT & GOALS
The overall concept introduces soccer at a more competitive level, while maintaining the fun of rec soccer. Our hope is to progress players from the Petoskey city recreational soccer program for K-2nd graders. Our in-house league will be run under the guidance of our PYSA Academy Director, Pete Platte. We will aim to provide more structure and comprehensive soccer coaching, along with an expectation to learn the rules of the game. From the in-house league, players can progress to the current Academy level (U-10) program that includes weekend games. Coaches and players will hopefully graduate from the in-house league with knowledge of the game and the confidence to advance into academy.
